In what ways has the Portsmouth Community been involved in the development of the McIntyre Project?

On June 26, 2017, the City of Portsmouth held its first public meeting on the McIntyre project. The partnership between the City and its constituents continues today and encompasses more than thirty meetings, during which citizens have been able to make their thoughts heard.


Portsmouth residents were invited to the September 9, 2017 public input session when the City’s development partner, Redgate/Kane, was chosen.


There have been 33 meetings related to the McIntyre project, including:


Twelve (12) public input sessions specific to the McIntyre project:

  • June 26, 2017; February 3, 2018; February 8, 2018; February 26, 2018; March 6, 2018; March 10, 2018; March 27, 2018; April 24, 2018; November 9, 2018; December 17, 2018, January 7, 2019; and March 5, 2019.


Six (6) City Council work sessions dedicated to the McIntyre project:

  • July 10, 2017; July 31, 2017; September 9, 2017; November 13, 2017; November 29, 2017; and December 18, 2017.


Eight (8) McIntyre Steering Committee meetings:

  • January 23, 2018; February 13, 2018; March 7, 2018; March 15, 2018; April 4, 2018; May 2, 2018; September 18, 2018; and October 11, 2018.

Five (5) City Council meetings during which the McIntyre project was the focus:

  • January 9, 2017; December 20 ,2017; January 16, 2018, September 4, 2018; and December 20, 2018.

Two (2) HDC work sessions:

  • May 22, 2018 and September 12, 2018.
